Qualifications

Fire Safety Consultants, Inc. has a staff of highly trained professionals, experienced in performing fire protection, building, fire code, and life safety plan reviews.  Many of our consultants have come to FSCI with prior experience and/or education in the field of fire protection.  Backgrounds include experience in fire service prevention and suppression, college degrees in fire science engineering and management, experience with private fire protection and insurance companies. Our consultants hold a variety of certifications from organizations such as the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET)National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), International Code Council (ICC) and the Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal (OSFM).

FSCI staff members have a combined experience level that is difficult to match in the third party plan review field.  Many of our principals and senior consultants are involved in the code development process on the state and national levels. This includes technical committee memberships on NFPA 3, NFPA 4, NFPA 72, NFPA 101, NFPA 291, NFPA 1201, NFPA 1250, NFPA 5000, and involvement with the International Building Code and the International Fire Code development cycles.

FSCI’s code professionals stay current in their field through continuing education, re-certification, and by attaining higher levels of certification.
