FSCI was founded in January 1983 by James R. Schifiliti as a firm of fire protection specialists dedicated to providing the highest quality, code based fire protection plan review services.
We are one of the largest private plan review service companies in the United States, providing plan reviews for more than 185 municipalities and fire departments as well as many private companies throughout the U.S. Because of our fire protection roots, we will always work with local authorities to resolve all issues based on code requirements.
FSCI specializes in fire protection disciplines, but as we grew, our clients requested more services. We expanded services to include seminar presentations based on codes and standards, consulting services to private industry, and building and life safety plan review services. In 2004, we opened our first regional office in Pleasant Ridge, Michigan, and plan on opening other regional offices in the US. In 2007, we moved into our new corporate headquarters in Elgin, Illinois.
